Unity
We as a chapter stand united with our brothers through thick and thin. Whatever our brothers do, they do as a collective unit. AKPsi is proud to have fostered a supportive and welcoming environment and culture within our chapter.
Service
Our chapter is committed to serving those in the SDSU and the greater San Diego community. Some of our initiatives include hosting workshops at local high schools, creating care packages for the homeless, and more!
Integrity
As a developer of future business leaders, our organization holds its members to the highest level of integrity. We not only encourage our brothers to be upstanding individuals in the workplace but in society as well.
Knowledge
We create an environment where people can learn from each other. AKPsi takes pride in knowing that our brothers are constantly sharing their knowledge regarding school, culture, social issues, and life experiences.

Dear Potential New Members,
We are proud to introduce you to the Mu Sigma Chapter of Alpha Kappa Psi at San Diego State University. Alpha Kappa Psi is recognized as the Oldest and Largest Co-Ed Business Fraternity and it is open for students of all majors to join. Since our founding on campus in 1986, Mu Sigma has transformed into one of the largest and most premier chapters in the nation, and we continue to grow and excel with each year. We currently host a brotherhood of 122 current members alongside an expansive alumni network of well over a thousand SDSU graduates, a network that has seen brothers go on to careers working with companies like Google, Amazon, Apple, EY, KPMG, and many more.
Alpha Kappa Psi was founded on the core values of Brotherhood, Unity, Service, Knowledge, and Integrity; values which all members of our chapter continuously strive to demonstrate both within our brotherhood and beyond at San Diego State. To become a member of our brotherhood means to promise to always excel in all fields of business, commerce, trade, and more. To be a brother of Alpha Kappa Psi means to look out for and support one another, both as student members and upon graduation when members become alumni. We aim to inspire all potential and current members of our chapter to strive for greatness, while always remembering the values that make our brotherhood so special.
As an active brother of Mu Sigma, members gain access to benefits such as access to alumni networks with companies across the country and internationally, as well as professional development tools to support students looking to secure internships or jobs before and after graduation. Additionally, we strive to instill a sense of brotherhood among members by creating events with other Alpha Kappa Psi chapters, hosting philanthropic events to give back to the wider San Diego community, and participating in fundraising events to help raise money for our chapter.
Our motto in Alpha Kappa Psi is “Shaping People, Shaping Business,” and our goal with that is to continue growing our fraternity in order to develop the next generation of leaders in the fields of business and beyond. The most quintessential aspect of that goal is new membership. With that, we are excited to be hosting our Fall 2024 Recruitment this semester and cannot wait to meet you all!
